The breakfast club

A recent survey has revealed that more than 20 per cent of children do not eat breakfast and that this can seriously affect their levels of concentration and mood during the day. The Home Grown Cereals Authority has produced an educational pack which is designed for use in Key Stage 2 but which can be used by teachers and nursery staff across the board. The free pack includes a colour poster, activities, and a set of six recipe cards which could be used to help you to start a breakfast club or which could feature in some of your cookery projects. * Copies of the pack are available by sending an A4 sae to Jennifer John, 54 Crawshay Drive, Emmer Green, Reading RG4 8SY or e-mailjennifer.john@ceres pr.co.uk
