The Childcare Revolution 2002

'The Childcare Revolution 2002' is the theme of this year's Kids' Clubs Network annual conference. The two-day meeting in London on 14 and 15 March will focus on a vision for making schools the centre of the community. Other topics include tackling poverty and inequality, and how to build communities of and for children. Speakers on the agenda include school standards minister Stephen Timms, Frank Furedi, professor of sociology at the University of Kent and author of Paranoid Parenting, and Stephen Hocking, editor of the BBC children's programme 'Blue Peter' and head of BBC Online.
