The National Day Nurseries Association on target

The National Day Nurseries Association looks set to meet the Government's National Childcare Strategy target of 40 per cent of settings achieving quality accreditation by 2004. Figures released by the NDNA last week show that more than 800 day nurseries are currently working towards accreditation under Quality Counts, its independently-assessed quality assurance scheme for full daycare nurseries, while another 20 day nurseries across England recently achieved its kitemark status. To date 1,400 day nurseries have bought the NDNA's Quality Counts manual. For more information contact Liz Richardson or Lindsay Lilywhite at NDNA on 0870 744 4244 or via email at info@ndna.org.uk.
