The nursery chain Early Years Childcare awarded EU funding

The nursery chain Early Years Childcare has been awarded 280,000 in EU funding to develop training for a new European childcare and education qualification. The group will work with partners from the UK, Austria and Holland to develop the project - Training for Early Years Education and Childcare in Europe (TEECHE). The programme will offer vocational training for professionals working with children from birth to seven years. TEECHE aims to raise the status of childcare as a career, provide opportunities to gain specialist skills and offer new training methods. The project is funded by the Leonardo programme, which promotes innovation in education and vocational training throughout the EU.
