The Pre-school Learning Alliance has appointed John Theedom as its new business development officer. He joins the PLA from the London Borough of Bexley, where he was childcare business manager for three years. Mr Theedom said, 'This job is an entirely new position at the PLA. In the past couple of years, the PLA has become involved in the direct provision of neighbourhood nurseries and daycare within children's centres. I will oversee this side of the PLA's work and also work with schools to develop the extended schools agenda.'
