Yes, I know, life is too short to be bothered by this, but Buerk's blether is illuminating.

It tells us nothing about the state of the world, but it tells us a lot about Establishment Man's reaction to the mere presence of women in corporate life when they are anything but subordinate. And it tells us a great deal about a severe shortage of empathy, not only towards women, but men, too.
