The twenty-something women who could be popping into the voting booth after dropping their children off at nursery or school are quite a challenge.

They are unprecedented on planet Earth. They don't have it all - they still have less than men - but they do it all. They confound the old Cosmopolitan template of the having-it-all gal who gets multiple guys, multiple orgasms and multiple money; she works, she plays, she buys solutions to everything, from wrinkles to cleaning the toilet and caring for the kids. Why? Because having eveything was confused with doing everything.

And that is the contradiction at the core of a new conundrum: why the women who do everything don't do voting. It is not because they don't care about politics, nor because they don't know what they think.
