Torfaen Children's Information Service in Cwmbran

Welsh Assembly targets on health and safety were set out by health and social services minister Jane Hutt when she launched the Torfaen Children's Information Service in Cwmbran last week. Ms Hutt announced targets for eliminating the spread of mumps, measles and rubella, reducing pedestrian injuries to children in road accidents and improving child mental health. She said, 'These targets and indicators link across current and developing health and social care policy and strategy, such as the National Service Framework for mental health and the framework for children's health which is currently being developed. The aim is to provide focus and direction for improving health and reducing health inequalities in Wales.'
