Treetops Nurseries is now one of the top five largest nursery groups in the country, after acquiring two more nurseries in ongoing expansion plans.

The buyouts have taken the number of registered childcare places on offer across 60 sites to 4,331.

The Derby-based group has bought Holme park Day Nursery in Reading and the Green Umbrella Day Nursery in Weston-Super-Mare.

Chief executive Officer, Charles Eggleston, said, ‘This is a very exciting time for Treetops Nurseries and we are delighted to welcome Holme Park and the Green Umbrella to the Treetops family. They form part of our continued growth plans and we look forward to adding more nurseries in the near future.’

Both of the newly acquired nurseries have large outdoor areas.

The group’s geographical area is spread across England from nurseries in the north in Yorkshire and Lancashire to sites in London.

The group now employs more than 1,360 staff.

Treetops Nurseries has been operating since 1990 and is owned by private equity investor Epiris.
