There are at least 15,000 children with terminal illnesses in Britain and only 25 children's hospices specialising in the type of dedicated care that hospitals are not geared to provide. But the Government only covers their core costs and the hospices have to find 90 per cent of their funding from charitable donations. Rebecca Sandles asks if it is acceptable for dying children to front publicity campaigns to fund hospice care.
