Evolutionary biologist Armand Leroi explores the making of the human form in the womb, using cutting-edge genetics and embryology. The film looks at why we have one head not two, two eyes not one, and our organs in all the right places. And it explores how a simple fertilised egg turns into the complex structure that is the human body. Armand meets conjoined twins Lori and Reba Schappell, who are joined at the head and share brain tissue, but who have a powerful sense of individuality.
