'Solo Spice' (Channel 4, 6 to 7pm).

This programme looks at the solo careers of the Spice Girls, who won a huge following among young children. How have they fared going it alone?

2 September.

'Shopology' (BBC 2, 8 to 8.50pm).

A team of experts put shoppers under the microscope for analysis. They follow parents and children round the malls and measure their stress levels.

3 September.

'Blue Peter' (BBC 1, 5 to 5.25pm).

'Blue Peter' viewers have been busy over the past two months, putting together ideas for their ideal school dinners, to be prepared by celebrity cook Jamie Oliver. Today the Naked Chef himself is in the studio to help judge the winners.

5 September.

'The Commission' (BBC Radio 4, 8 to 8.45pm).

Under the chairmanship of Nick Ross, The Commission asks a panel of public figures to gather evidence and to make recommendations for future policy, looking for radical and practical solutions to current issues. Two of the subjects tackled are whether there should be a national DNA database and why so many children are locked up in this country.
