* Television vet Trude Mostue will be raising money for a leading children's charity when she takes part in this Sunday's London Marathon.

Trude, who found fame in 'Vets in Practice', is keen to help others who are less fortunate than herself by running in aid of the Children's Society. There is still time to sponsor her run by logging on to www.justgiving.com.

The money will go directly to the Children's Society and where supporters are UK taxpayers the charity will also receive a 28 per cent tax reclaim bonus. Marathon runners who already have a place can also join Trude on the Children's Society team by signing up online through the website.

Trude said, 'I support the Children's Society because I have seen how much of a difference it makes to children that need a little extra help. It would be great for anyone running to join me.'
