Two more assurance schemes for providers of childcare for children aged eight and over have been accredited

Two more assurance schemes for providers of childcare for children aged eight and over have been accredited by the Secretary of State for Education and Skills. They are the schemes 'For One Child and All Children' developed by Cornwall early years development and childcare partnership, and the Stockport Quality Assurance Scheme by Stockport EYDCP. Parents of children at settings that successfully complete these schemes will now be able to claim the childcare element at the Working Families' Tax Credit There are now live accredited quality assurance schemes in England. The other three are based in Somerset Devon and the London borough of Newham.
