Welsh ministers propose child poverty law

Tackling child poverty and strengthening support to families is the focus of a new law proposed by Welsh ministers.

The Children and Families (Wales) Measure places a duty on ministers todevelop a new child poverty strategy for Wales that would have to bereviewed every three years. It also places a duty on specific publicbodies to assist in eradicating child poverty by 2020.
