The World Cup seems to have driven the whole country football mad. Let the children in your care join in with this simple soccer silliness. It could make a great summer picnic or party game.
Mark out the garden, or a space in the local park, as a football pitch. You can use cardboard boxes weighed down with stones to mark the goal posts, and a paper plate as the centre spot. Blow up a large beach ball to use during the games.
Now that you have the ball, you need to make the feet. Yes, you read that right; the children won't be using their own feet for this crazy kick-around -they'll be booting the ball with an extra leg!
