Wider choices

As the consultant responsible for the review and rewrite of the new Making Choices orientation programme, on behalf of SkillsActive and the CWDC, I was delighted to read 'Decision time' (12 April) and to learn how positively the programme has been received by participants and training providers. However, I would like to point out a slight error. Making Choices was launched in 1999 and was relaunched last year with the new title of Making Choices in Working with Children, Young People and Families (not Adults). The new title was chosen specifically to reflect the children's workforce development agenda and the importance of working in partnership with parents and carers.
