Win resources - draw your own bug!

Children are invited to draw a bug for childcarer insurer Morton Michel's Design a Bug competition, in association with the Buglife conservation trust.

The competition, which is open to anyone involved in the early years and childcare sector, aims to promote discussion amongs children about how we can protect bugs in the UK that are under threat.

Winners in the three categories (under-fives, five to seven years and eight to 11 years) and their settings will receive a selection of resources.

Prizes include a Remote Control Bug and Back to Nature Story Cushions from Fine Solutions (under-fives’ winning setting) a Mini Beast Rug from Blue Butterfly (winner five-sevens) and TTS’ Butterfly Habitat and Insect Conservation Study Centre (winner eight to 11 years).

Everyone who takes part will receive a set of Morton Michel colouring pencils and a pencil sharpener lid.

Entries must be no larger than A4 size and drawn by children. Judges include Nursery World editor Liz Roberts. The deadline for entries is 26 November, with the winners announced on 3 December.
