Competition: Win resources - Draw your own sea creature

Children are invited to draw a sea creature for childcare insurer Morton Michel's Design a Sea Creature competition, in association with Sea Life Conservation.

The competition, which is open to anyone involved in the early years and childcare sector, aims to provoke discussion about how children can help protect our seas and its creatures, some of which are facing extinction.

Winners in the three categories (under-fives, five- to seven years and eight- to 11 years) and their settings will receive a selection of resources.

Prizes include the Consortium’s Titchy Waterfall Play Tubs (under-fives’ wining setting) a tropical story rug from Blue Butterfly (winner five – to-sevens), and two Sea Life annual passes (winner eight- to- 11 years).

Everyone who takes part will receive a set of Morton Michel colouring pencils including a pencil sharpener lid.

Entries must be no larger than A4 size and drawn/designed by children. Judges include Nursery World editor Liz Roberts. The deadline for entries is 21 November, with the winners announced on 28 November.
