Provision
Children impressed the judges of the 'design a pet' competition by childcare insurers Morton Michel, who have announced winners.

The under-fives category was won by Lucille Rodgers, aged four, from Sunflower Children's Centre in Sheffield. Lucille's picture of a bird won her a blue dog from HappyHopperz and a furry beast table mat from Blue Butterfly Flooring for the centre. Bailey, age three, was awarded highly commended for his starfish picture.

The five-to-seven years category winner was Sophie Cowder, seven, who is cared for by childminder Geraldine Hamilton. Sophie's picture (left) won her a Piggy in the Middle game from Orchard Toys and a Three Little Pigs resource pack from Yellow Door. Rio Auguste, aged six, from Groovy Kids Club in Watford was highly commended for his tiger.

In the eight-to-11 age group the winner was Tom Gould, eight. Tom's picture of a rabbit was sent in by his childminder Nadia Chalk, winning him an animal families card game from the Green Board Games Company. Highly commended was eight-year-old Ella Price for her Stafordshire Bull Terrier.

Everyone who took part received a Morton Michel pencil set and a Blue Cross sticker.
