Editor’s view - Beyond 30 hours!

Editor’s View
It’s very difficult to switch attention away from the start of the 30 hours implementation – understandably given its likely impact on the early years sector.

In the past few days, I have been interviewed on LBC about the technical hiatus with the Childcare Service sign-up system and the 30 hours in general; Steve Taylor of Winchcombe Farm Nursery has penned a brilliant piece telling parents what they need to know (see our website); NDNA’s survey has found many nurseries planning to limit 30 hours places; and we’ve covered confusion among parents of two-year-olds who have been issued with eligibility codes (see page 6).

Other aspects of providing early years education and childcare must not be neglected, of course, and Nursery World will be offering plenty of invaluable advice and information for the autumn.
