A degree doesn't make you a more capable person to look after children unless it's a teaching/childcare degree. What about those who have a degree in geography, does that make them more competent?

Observations are like the TV gameshow 'Catchphrase' - you need to say what you see. Just keep to the essentials of what you did, why you did it that way, what you saw and how you interpret that into how your observed child has developed.

Margos - Diploma Pre-school Practice

I'm undertaking the EYPS full training pathway and love it. However, I am child orientated so I wouldn't like a managerial role at present. I feel at a loose end as it's just a status so I'm not necessarily going to be able to walk into a job like if I'd done a PGCE.
