Opinion: In my view - What vouchers need

Children 1st @ Breedon House has been operating nurseries successfully for nearly 20 years.

However, we are now suffering from the increasing burden of administration, including the hassle of childcare vouchers.

Our accounting procedures are centralised, with the aim of leaving our nursery managers valuable time to do what they do best, review and improve practice in our settings. Childcare vouchers have crept up on us over the past few years.

At first we were competent at the administration; it seems now we are less so. We are faced with expensive software, recruitment and training costs to meet the requirements of the task. For those who are doing it well, I would love to know their secret.
