A cardboard stand-in did an admirable job of holding the royal fort at House Martins nursery in Malton, North Yorkshire.
The cutout of the the Queen wasn't quite as good as the real thing but the children were thrilled at the likeness and all wore red, white and blue in honour of her 90th birthday.
