Hampshire County Council’s Children’s Services Department is tendering for the provision of support to early education and childcare providers in the private, voluntary and independent sector (PVI settings) or to childminders registered independently with Ofsted. Support will specifically focus upon childcare providers judged by Ofsted to be ‘requires improvement’ or ‘inadequate’ and will include advice on leadership and governance for non-domestic provision, the EYFS learning and development provision of childminders and the EYFS welfare standards for all providers. The contract will also support the local authority’s sufficiency duty.
The contract will start on 1 April 2015 for a period of one year, with the option to extend for one further year.
The approximate value is between £350,000 and £499,000 per annum.
An open tendering route will be used. The contract will be awarded to the most economically advantageous tender based on the scoring for the tender return. To take part in the tender, interested parties must register via the In-Tend website (https://in-tendhost.co.uk/hampshire/) where tender documents should be downloaded. The deadline for the return of tenders is 2.00 pm on 3 November 2014. The tender documents contain all the details that providers will require in order to tender.
