Boo Who? by Ben Clanton

Walker Books, hardback, £11.99

Sprinkles, Gizmo, Wild and Rex are back, and this time there is a newcomer – Boo.

The foursome let Boo join in their games, but it’s not that easy to fit in when you are a little ghost – Boo can’t bounce the ball, pick up twigs or play tag. Finally, though, he finds a game that he does excel at – hide-and-seek. This tale of self-doubt, fitting in and discovering your own particular talents is a perfect story for the start of a new school year.

And look out too for their first adventure, Rex Wrecks It. In this tale, the little dinosaur tests his friends’ patience by knocking down everything they have built – a rocket, magical heart and castle are all sent crashing to the floor.
