The fun begins the minute the farmer disappears on his tractor. The cows take to their dinghies, the horses and chickens have a picnic, while the more adventurous head off for a bit of jet-skiing. But then the farmer returns early.
This isn't the first picture book to relate animal antics in the farmer's absence, but it is the first to tell the story in the animals' own 'words'. The youngest of children can join in with making the animal sounds.
