Strong return for the Nursery World Show

Nothing beats meeting someone in person – and that’s exactly what this event underlined when hundreds of individuals from across the sector met under the same roof for the first time in two years, on 29 – 30 April.
It was good to be back and feel part of something big again.
The exhibition floor played host to a wide range of exhibitors, including our sponsors TTS, Famly, Polylino and Early Excellence.
We were delighted two welcome Clare Milford Haven to cut the ribbon and officially open the show. Clare is a children’s author, journalist and founder of James’ Place, a charity which works to prevent male suicide.

There was a lot to check out on the exhibition stands, with a vast range of new service and products – many of which had special offers, discounts and membership deals. Apetito’s stand was popular with delegates queuing to sample its tempting, nutritious dishes.
Apetito staff served up food and nutrition information at its stand.
The TTS team gave visitors a warm welcome and was the sponsor of the Early Years and Resources Zone.

Meanwhile the Live Theatre provided a hub of activity on the ground floor, complemented by this year's new feature – the Best Practice Clinic – with experts on hand to provide advice about areas of practice.
The Best Practice Clinic was supported by NDNA, PACEY and the Early Years Alliance.
Friday’s Masterclass on Supporting communication and language needs of all children fuelled lively discussion around new strategies and perspectives on how to work effectively in this vital area.
Kerry Murphy, early childhood SEND specialist, lecturer and author challenged delegates' perception of SEND in the Masterclass.
Saturday’s Keynote Debate on the power of play examined what constitutes play and how practitioners can support it, in its many forms.

This year’s line up of seminars provided something for everyone – from an update on the Ofsted Inspection Framework, to forest school practice, to PSED and rebuilding children’s confidence, positive relationships and the power of love and equality and diversity.
