900,000 to establish Communication Trust

The Department for Children Schools and Families has allocated 900,000 funding to establish the Communication Trust, a new organisation to support the children's workforce in improving children's communication skills and consolidate efforts across the voluntary sector. The Communication Trust, led by children's communication charity I CAN, alongside Afasic, CDC (Council for Disabled Children) and the BT Better World Campaign aims to be a 'hub' of communications and SEN expertise.
