An ambitious planting programme at Tannadice Nursery in Angus

Wednesday, September 22, 2004

(Photograph) - An ambitious planting programme at Tannadice Nursery in Angus has paid off with what head teacher Margaret Pollok describes as a 'magnificent' wildflower meadow. She said, 'The whole thing kicked off at the beginning of the year with the planning, then we planted the seeds in April.' The nursery received a grant from Scottish Natural Heritage, but parents were so generous when they heard of the venture that there is money left over to buy bird tables and bird boxes to encourage even more wildlife to the meadow.
