Bertram group opens new nursery at BBC's Manchester relocation

Bertram Nursery Group is to open its 33rd setting at the Media City UK development in Salford Quays, Greater Manchester this October.
The Holyrood Nursery, Media City will provide care for local families, children of BBC staff and other businesses located in and around Salford Quays.
This will be the Bertram Nursery Group’s 33rd setting and the 16th under the Holyrood nursery branding. The group, which has settings across north-west England and Scotland, also runs nurseries under brands including Happitots and Bright Beginnings.
The new 100-place nursery, the only childcare setting to be based at Media City UK, will offer full daycare for children from three months to school age from 7am-7pm Monday to Saturday. The setting will include a sensory area, an IT suite and a large outdoor play space, where the nursery will run forest school sessions. It will also benefit from the amenities of the quays, the Media City development and city centre.
Parents whose children attend the setting can take advantage of the nursery’s on-site children’s hairdressing services and a delivery acceptance service, where nursery staff will sign for online and mail order purchases, which parents can collect when they pick up their children.
There will also be a dry cleaning drop off and collection point, and a parent ‘book bar’, where they can borrow, swap and share books.
Susan McGhee, Bertram’s commercial director, said, ‘We are thrilled to be opening our newest setting at Media City UK. We have worked hard to create a bespoke facility that will not only meet but exceed the needs of children and families living and working in and around the area.’
She added, ‘We have already had a lot of interest from people wanting to enrol their children at the nursery, in particular from the BBC.’
