Childcare voucher users profiled

Eight out of ten users of childcare vouchers are basic-rate taxpayers representing all occupational and socio-economic groups, says a report by the Social Market Foundation. Vouchers are used more by lone parents than couples and manual and unskilled workers use them the most. The report comes after the Labour party abandoned plans to end childcare vouchers.
