Cuts threaten an end to London Play

A voluntary organisation that promotes inclusive play opportunities for children across London is fighting closure because of funding cuts under the London Councils' grant scheme (News, 12 October). London Play has written to political party leaders and the capital's 33 council leaders asking for support. London Councils' grant committee has said that increasing access to play and physical activity for children and young people should no longer be a funding priority.
