'Detox toy box'

Wednesday, November 19, 2003

Parents and carers across Britain are being encouraged to 'detox their toy box' before Christmas and donate good-quality toys and games to children's charity Barnardo's. The annual Foresters Toy and Christmas appeal seeks toys and festive bric-a-brac to sell in Barnardo's stores. Actress Linda Robson, who launched the appeal, said, 'Most people have something in their cupboards that Barnardo's can make use of, so it's a great way to have a good clean out before Christmas and help a really worthwhile cause.' For every bag of goods displaying a special sticker, Foresters, a financial services and charitable organisation, will donate another 5 to the appeal. The toys or saleable goods can be donated at any of Barnardo's 300 shops nationwide.
