Nursery on the Hill, was set up in 2006, and Nursery on the Green followed six years later.

Owner Kaye Wildman, who has three grandchildren in the nurseries, started her career as a childminder, is retiring.

‘I was really impressed with Family First and all the effort they have put in to get to know my business. They think the same way about nursery care as I do and I know they will look after my team and the children, which is important to me,’ she said.

The nursery owner said she had given both nurseries ‘considerable investment’ and spent £200,000 in Nursery on the Hill.

Interviewed by Nursery World recently, Ms Wildman said she had recently expanded her second setting, Nursery on the Green, with a new 15-place baby room.

‘We have put so much energy into training and supporting our teams, focusing on health and wellbeing, safeguarding and providing high standards in all that they do,’ she added.

Family First CEO Ollie Humphries said, ‘We are absolutely thrilled to add a further two exceptional nurseries to our growing portfolio that share our ethos of providing first-class quality childcare.

‘We can see that all the investment has really paid off, with Kaye and her nursery teams repeatedly being awarded Outstanding by Ofsted and continuing to operate to capacity, thanks to happy parents and word of mouth.’

The acquisitions mean that the group now operates three nurseries in Enfield, as it already owns the Head Start nursery in the same area.

Both Nursery on the Hill and Nursery on the Green cater for children from six months to five years, providing a combined total of 110 places.

The latest acquisition for the expanding nursery group follows that of Grace’s Day Nursery in Catford, earlier this month.
