Government sets target of reducing child obesity

Almost one in four children is overweight or obese by the time they start school, according to figures from the National Child Measurement Programme for the academic year 2007/2008.
The Government has set a target of reducing child obesity by 2020 toyear 2000 levels. The latest findings are almost identical to those forthe academic year 2006/2007.
