Graham Donaldson will take over as senior chief inspector of HM Inspectorate of Education when Douglas Osler retires on 1 November. Mr Donaldson is currently depute senior chief inspector. He formerly taught in Glasgow and Dunbartonshire before becoming a lecturer in educational psychology at Jordanhill College of Education. Since joining HMIE he has worked on co-ordinating Standard Grade development, reviewing practice in S1 and S2.
