Hard work to get here

I was disappointed to read Alan Bentley's column (17 May) both as a provider and as a Chair who works hard to ensure the sector is properly represented. NDNA has come a long way since it was set up as a charity in 1999 with the mission of promoting quality in early years. Being seen as a credible voice for day nurseries has taken much hard work, including campaigning and endless meetings. Being a truly representative organisation does not happen overnight.
