In brief...National Day Nurseries Association

Wednesday, January 3, 2001

The National Day Nurseries Association is currently conducting a survey of its 1,000 members on the impact of Working Families Tax Credit on their businesses. The survey is seeking to find out how many parents are paying for childcare using the childcare tax credit element of the tax credit, whether or not it has made any difference in the uptake and also if nurseries have experienced difficulties such as fraud or no payment of fees since the tax credit's introduction in October 1999. The full results of the survey are expected to be published later this month.
