London group Little Learners acquires a new nursery

Business Provision
Little Learners Pre-School is expanding with the acquisition of a new site in Kenton.

The north London-based nursery group run by husband and wife team, Nira and Pulkit Shah, have purchased a former doctor’s surgery to refurbish into a new nursery. It will initially provide up to 41 new childcare places.

The nursery will operate under a newly established name, KidsUniverse and is expected to open in April. The aim is to to expand the development at a later date to provide an extra 30 places.

Nira Shah said, ‘I am delighted to have secured this new site for the business. There is a strong demand for good quality childcare in north London and I am excited to be able to have the opportunity to provide good quality childcare for so many local children.’

Pulkit Shah said, ‘The new name is a step toward a re-brand. We are trying to move forward and produce more high-end state of the art and purpose-built services for nurseries.’

The couple already run three nurseries in Edgware, Harrow and North Harrow that will continue to operate under the Little Learners name, for the foreseeable future.

However, any new nurseries that are opened up by the pair will most likely operate under the name of KidsUniverse.

Nira established the company in 2005 after leaving her job as a management accountant. The nurseries offer classes in yoga, music, movement, Spanish and IT.
