The Infant and Toddler Forum, an independent group of experts in infant and child nutrition development, has launched a new website with a dedicated area for childcare professionals providing specialist advice.

The re-launched website now includes an area for childcare and health professionals with factsheets, reports, advice from forum members and information on study days and training.

It incorporates the Infant and Toddler Forum’s old site Little People’s Plates, which features practical tips and nutritional guidance for families, including the Tot it Up food calculator and Ten Steps for Healthy Toddlers.

The aim of the new website, designed and built by Grass Roots is to make browsing easier, with information and advice grouped by topic into four colour-coded sections:healthy eating for toddlers, difficulties in feeding, growth and development and common nutritional and eating problems.

The four main areas cover topics such as understanding food labels, iron and vitamin D deficiency, obesity and weaning. They also include expert advice, resources and real stories for practitioners, health professionals and parents.
