Parents really value being kept in touch with what their child has done during the day, but there's often little time to go into detail or you don't get to see them collect their child. You can choose from 14 different pads which are headed 'A Note Home... to tell you that' and go on to explain that the child (you fill in the name) has 'received first aid today', 'has made a tremendous effort today', 'has written a super story today' and so on. Obviously, the child will also appreciate having something positive to give his parent at the end of his school day and it could be something to work towards as well.
