Paul Bonel, head of playwork at SkillsActive, Nursery World contributor, and co-author of the book Playwork: A Guide to Good Practice, passed away in January.
Mr Bonel worked in the play sector for more than 40 years and had headed up the playwork team at SkillsActive since 1999. A statement from SkillsActive said, 'Paul has already been missed by all at SkillsActive because his commitment to play was inspirational and his friendly and supportive style was a real source of strength to his friends and colleagues.'
