This three-part project covers all six areas of learning, indicated by:

Personal, social and emotional development

Communication,language and literacy

Mathematical development

Knowledge & understanding of the world

Physical development

Creative development

To reflect good practice within the early years, the project provides a balance of adult-led (A-L) and child-initiated (C-I) activities.

A 'planned learning intention' and 'Stepping stones' accompany each adult-led activity. The Stepping stones provide developmental information on how children may work towards achieving the given goal, but are intended as a guide only.

Possible learning outcomes accompany each child-initiated activity to emphasise the holistic nature of children's learning.
