Public show for childcare professionals

Early years organisations have lined up a month-long range of events to celebrate childcare. The Daycare Trust will mark National Childcare Week from 11 to 15 June with the results of its children's art competition, 'Me and my childcare' and findings from the 'Listening to families' project. A conference on 13 June in London will look at how childcare can help eradicate child poverty.

The Daycare Trust will mark National Childcare Week from 11 to 15 June with the results of its children's art competition, 'Me and my childcare' and findings from the 'Listening to families' project. A conference on 13 June in London will look at how childcare can help eradicate child poverty.

The National Childminding Association has chosen a 'supporting families'

theme for National Childminding Week from 16 to 23 June. Representatives of childminder networks will visit local children's centres and schools to talk to parents.

The Pre-school Learning Alliance, in association with toymaker Fisher-Price, will host a Play week from 25 June to 1 July. Awards will be given to individuals and groups judged to have made a real difference to children's lives through play.
