Position: Manager of Smart Tots Day Nursery in Banbury, Oxfordshire

- How are you finding the foundation degree that you are studying for?

I am really enjoying doing my foundation degree. I started the course last September and have more than a year left to go.

It's been good that most of it has been relevant to my work at the nursery.

- How long have you worked at Smart Tots Nursery?

I started at Smart Tots Day Nursery 11 years ago as a nursery nurse. It was my first job after college and I literally knocked on the door and asked if they had any vacancies. I've been here ever since.

- What are your plans for the next 11 years?

After I complete my foundation degree, I want to stay on another year and get my full degree and then my EYP, which involves a further six months of studying. My plan is to go into primary school teaching, but that is a long way off.
