Position: Nursery nurse at Little Acorns in Washington, Tyne and Wear

- How did you celebrate ten years at the nursery?

The managing director of the group visited the nursery to present me with a bouquet of flowers and an engraved watch to say thank you for my loyal and continued service. We also had a tea party at the nursery attended by children and staff.

- How did you come to work at the nursery?

I used to work as a nanny and had four years out to have my own children. I wasn't looking for work, but one day the Job Centre called me about a position at Little Acorns nursery. I've been there ever since.

- How has your role changed over the years?

I'm currently working in the baby room, but have worked with children of all ages over the last ten years. Initially when I started at the nursery I worked part-time but am now doing full days.
