Take tea with an orangutan on Red Nose Day 2015

Equipment & Resources
This year early years settings can celebrate Red Nose Day by holding a tea party with the Queen’s Orangutan.

The star of a new book by David Walliams and Tony Ross, especially written for 2015’s fundraising event on 13 March, features in Comic Relief’s free nursery activity pack, which is full of ideas and resources.

Children can join in the fun with the Queen’s orangutan by dressing up as their favourite animals, learning a monkey dance, or holding a sponsored climb or swing.

To help young children understand more about the work Comic Relief does, resources include information about Matilda, a little girl who lives in Zambia who has struggled to go to school.

For Red Nose Day 2015, the Government will double the money raised by UK nurseries and schools to fund education projects in Africa.
