The Wildlife Trust is calling on children and adults to experience nature in their local neighbourhoods.

As part of its 30 Days Wild annual challenge, the trust is encouraging people to enjoy nature every day in June through ‘random acts of wildness’, whether by listening to bird song, gazing at butterflies, growing borage for bees or making the most of parks, gardens and other outdoor spaces.

More than 65,000 people have signed up by downloading a free resources pack, as analysis of last year’s challenge found participants felt happier, healthier and more connected to nature.

The trust’s Leanne Manchester said, ‘Take time to sit in a wild spot, enjoy the sunset or feel cool grass between your toes – June is such a beautiful month and the perfect time to go a bit wild.’
