The West-Sussex nursery group’s new setting, Little Tigers Day Nursery and Pre-school in Park Royal, is its first in London. It is also its first new build setting after winning a tender from property developer Fairview New Homes to open a 90-place nursery in the new Regency Heights residential development in Park Royal, North London.

It comes after Cranbook Day Nurseries re-branded to the Little Nursery Group earlier in the month and follows a funding package of £2.8m from Santander last year for refinancing.

The nursery group’s newest setting joins three others in the group – all based in West Sussex. Together, the four settings provide more than 250 childcare places.

Over the next five years, the Little Nursery Group plans to open a further 11 settings in the south of England and London, bringing its total number of sites to 15 and growing its current staff from 130 to around 300.

Chris Holmes, chief executive of Little Nursery Group, said, ‘Since switching our banking to Santander UK last year, the team has been genuinely interested in providing us with the resources to grow and has been supportive and informative as we have developed our business strategy. Our improved repayment profile gives us the opportunity to grow in line with our ambitious plans with Santander UK’s support.’

Olivia Moorby, relationship director at Santander UK, added, ‘We are delighted to support Little Nursery Group’s expansion by providing funding toward the opening of its new Little Tigers nursery in London, and with a bespoke package of working capital solutions to maximise its liquidity.'
